  • Paracetamol reduces fever and relieves headache/body pain by blocking prostaglandins in the CNS.

  • Phenylephrine is a selective alpha-1 agonist that causes vasoconstriction in nasal mucosa, reducing congestion.

  • Diphenhydramine blocks H1 histamine receptors and also has sedative effects – useful for nighttime cold relief.

  • Caffeine enhances the pain-relief effect of paracetamol and offsets drowsiness caused by diphenhydramine.

πŸ“ Dosage Guidelines:

Age Group Recommended Dose
Adults & Children β‰₯12 yrs 1 tablet every 6–8 hours as needed (max 3–4/day)
Children <12 yrs Not recommended – consider Maxtra Syrup

Take after food with water. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.


⚠️ Precautions:

  • May cause drowsiness – avoid driving or operating machinery.

  • Use with caution in:

    • Hypertension

    • Heart disease

    • Asthma

    • Diabetes

    • Glaucoma
