Montair FX® Tablets – Strip of 15 Tablets

Salt Composition (Each film-coated tablet contains):

• Montelukast Sodium IP (equivalent to Montelukast) – 10 mg

• Fexofenadine Hydrochloride IP – 120 mg

Therapeutic Class:

Leukotriene Receptor Antagonist + Second-Generation Antihistamine

Uses / Indications:

Montair FX Tablets are indicated for:

• Allergic rhinitis (seasonal & perennial)

• Sneezing and runny nose

• Nasal congestion

• Itchy, watery eyes

• Chronic urticaria (hives)

• Allergy-associated wheezing (adjunct therapy)

How It Works (Mechanism of Action):

• Montelukast: Blocks leukotrienes to reduce airway inflammation and nasal congestion

• Fexofenadine: Blocks histamine (H1) receptors to relieve allergy symptoms without causing sedation

Dosage:

• Adults & adolescents ≥12 years: 1 tablet once daily

• Preferably taken in the evening

• Route: Oral

Common Side Effects (Usually Mild):

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Nausea

• Fatigue (rare)

Precautions:

• Not intended for acute asthma attack

• Use caution in patients with liver impairment

• Avoid unnecessary alcohol consumption

• Pregnancy & lactation: use only if prescribed

Storage:

• Store below 25°C

• Protect from moisture

• Keep out of reach of children
