Bidin LS 0.1% Eye Drops – (Bottle of 5 ml)

Composition:

• Brimonidine Tartrate 0.1% w/v
  (Alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist)

• Sterile aqueous vehicle q.s

• Preservative: Usually contains Benzalkonium Chloride (BAK)
  (Exact percentage may vary by manufacturer; commonly 0.01–0.02% w/v)

What is Bidin LS 0.1%?

Bidin LS 0.1% is an ophthalmic solution formulated to lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
It is a low-strength (LS) version of Brimonidine designed to reduce side effects such as allergic reactions, redness, and dryness, which are more common with the 0.2% formulation.

How It Works:

Brimonidine 0.1% lowers eye pressure by:

1. Decreasing aqueous humour production

2. Increasing uveoscleral outflow (enhancing drainage from the eye)

This dual action helps maintain healthier optic nerve function and prevents vision loss due to glaucoma.

Indications / Uses:

• Open-angle glaucoma

• Ocular hypertension

• Patients requiring additional IOP control

• Those who experience irritation with stronger 0.2% formulations

• Remove contact lenses before applying (BAK can interact with lenses)
