Asthakind-DX Syrup – 60 ml Bottle
Composition (Per 5 ml):
- Ambroxol Hydrochloride – 15 mg
(Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that helps break down and thin the mucus in the airways, making it easier to clear out excess mucus and relieving symptoms of congestion.) - Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride – 2.5 mg
(Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that helps reduce allergy symptoms by blocking the action of histamine, a substance released during allergic reactions. It helps relieve symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes.) - Guaifenesin – 50 mg
(Guaifenesin is an expectorant that works by thinning and loosening mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up and clear from the lungs, which is helpful in treating conditions like cough and chest congestion.)
Indications:
Asthakind-DX Syrup is commonly used to treat respiratory conditions and symptoms, especially those involving excessive mucus, congestion, or allergic reactions. It is indicated for:
- Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to help relieve bronchospasm and improve airflow.
- Cough and congestion: For productive cough, the syrup helps loosen mucus and make it easier to expel.
- Allergic rhinitis and other allergic conditions, helping to relieve symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes.
- Acute and chronic bronchitis, where inflammation and mucus accumulation occur in the airways.
- Respiratory infections that lead to thick mucus production.
Dosage:
- As prescribed by a healthcare provider, but typical dosages may include:
- Children (2-6 years): 2.5 ml (half a teaspoon) once or twice a day.
- Children (6-12 years): 5 ml (one teaspoon) once or twice a day.
- Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml (two teaspoons) once or twice a day, depending on severity.
