Blisto Trio 2 – Strip of 10 Tablets
Composition: Each tablet contains:
- Metformin Hydrochloride IP 500 mg
- Glimepiride IP 2 mg
- Voglibose IP 0.2 mg
Indications: Blisto Trio 2 is primarily used in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in patients who are inadequately controlled on diet and exercise, or those who require combination therapy for better glycemic control.
Mechanism of Action:
- Metformin Hydrochloride: A biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production, increases insulin sensitivity, and improves peripheral glucose uptake.
- Glimepiride: A sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from the beta cells of the pancreas.
- Voglibose: An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays carbohydrate absorption from the intestine, thus preventing sharp spikes in blood glucose levels after meals.
Dosage:
