🎯 Indications / Uses:

Betnovate cream is used to treat inflammatory skin conditions, including:

  • Eczema / Dermatitis (atopic, contact, seborrheic)

  • Psoriasis (limited, plaque type)

  • Lichen planus

  • Discoid lupus erythematosus

  • Insect bites

  • Skin allergies with inflammation and itching

  • Intertrigo (rash in skin folds)

🚫 Not suitable for bacterial, fungal, or viral infections unless combined with appropriate antimicrobials.


⚙️ Mechanism of Action:

Betamethasone valerate binds to intracellular corticosteroid receptors, reducing the release of pro-inflammatory substances such as cytokines and prostaglandins, leading to:

  • Decreased redness

  • Reduced swelling

  • Relief from itching and irritation

Use only under medical supervision
