Composition (Each 5 ml contains):

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide IP – 10 mg

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate IP – 2 mg

• Mentholated flavoured syrupy base – q.s.

SF = Sugar Free
Suitable for diabetic patients and those avoiding sugar

Therapeutic Class:

Antitussive + Antihistamine

Uses / Indications:

Zedex Cough Syrup is indicated for the relief of:

• Dry (non-productive) cough

• Irritating cough

• Cough due to allergy or common cold

• Throat irritation

• Night-time cough

How It Works (Mechanism of Action):

• Dextromethorphan: Suppresses the cough reflex in the brain

• Chlorpheniramine: Reduces allergic symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes

• Menthol: Provides soothing effect to throat and airways

Dosage:

• Adults: 5–10 ml, 2–3 times daily

• Children: As directed by physician

• Route: Oral

• Shake well before use

Common Side Effects:

• Drowsiness

• Dry mouth

• Dizziness

• Mild stomach upset

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol while taking this syrup

• Use caution when driving or operating machinery (may cause drowsiness)

• Not recommended for productive (wet) cough

• Pregnancy & lactation: use only if prescribed
