Description

Mechanism of Action

Minocycline inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, thereby blocking protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. This prevents bacterial multiplication and allows the immune system to eliminate the infection. The action is bacteriostatic.

Pharmacological Properties

Minocycline is well absorbed after oral administration. It distributes widely throughout body tissues, including skin, lungs, and soft tissues. Therapeutic Indications

Missed Dose
