Composition (Each 5 ml contains):

• Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride IP – 2.5 mg

• Flavoured syrup base – q.s.

Therapeutic Class:

Antihistamine (Second-generation)

Uses / Indications:

Lecope Syrup is used for relief of:

• Allergic rhinitis

• Sneezing & runny nose

• Itchy, watery eyes

• Urticaria (hives)

• Other allergic conditions in children and adults

How It Works (Mechanism of Action):

• Levocetirizine blocks histamine (H1) receptors, reducing allergy symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and swelling with minimal sedation.

Dosage:

• Children (2–5 years): 2.5 ml once daily (or as prescribed)

• Children (≥6 years): 5 ml once daily

• Adults: 5 ml once daily

• Route: Oral

• Preferably taken in the evening

Common Side Effects:

• Mild drowsiness

• Dry mouth

• Headache

• Fatigue

Precautions:

• Use with caution in renal impairment

• Avoid alcohol

• Pregnancy & lactation: use only if prescribed

• Do not exceed recommended dose

Storage:

• Store below 25°C

• Protect from light

• Keep out of reach of children
