Composition (Each 1 ml Contains):

• Methotrexate IP … 25 mg
  (Active ingredient; an antimetabolite used in cancer therapy and autoimmune diseases)

• Sodium Chloride IP … 4.9 mg
  (Maintains isotonicity of the injection solution)

• Sodium Hydroxide IP … q.s.
  (Used to adjust pH to ensure stability and compatibility)

• Water for Injection IP … q.s.
  (Sterile base used for preparing the injectable solution

Folitrax 25 Injection contains Methotrexate, a folic-acid antagonist that works by inhibiting DNA synthesis and cell replication. It is a cytotoxic medication widely used in oncology for various cancers and in lower doses for autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. Folitrax 25 is provided in a 1 ml sterile ampoule, typically administered via intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous, or intra-lesional routes depending on the indication.
