Ingredient Strength Function
Paradichlorobenzene 2% Softens and breaks down hardened ear wax (cerumenolytic)
Benzocaine IP 2.7% Local anesthetic – relieves pain and irritation
Chlorbutol IP 5% Mild antiseptic and preservative
Turpentine Oil BP 15% Helps dissolve wax and has counterirritant properties

Clearwax is used for:

  • Softening hardened ear wax

  • Facilitating easy removal of wax via irrigation or suction

  • Reducing ear pain or discomfort due to wax impaction

  • Before ear cleaning procedures at clinics

🧴 Dosage & Application:

  • Adults & children:

    • Instill 2–3 drops into the affected ear, 2 to 3 times a day

    • Keep the head tilted for a few minutes to allow penetration

    • Continue for 3–4 days or as directed by a physician

Do not insert cotton swabs or foreign objects into the ear.

⚠️ Precautions:

  • For external use only

  • Do not use if:

    • You have a perforated eardrum

    • There is discharge or bleeding from the ear

    • You have had recent ear surgery

  • Avoid prolonged use without medical advice

  • Keep bottle tightly closed and do not contaminate the dropper tip
