Composition (Each film-coated tablet contains):

• Bisoprolol Fumarate IP – 5 mg

• Excipients – q.s.

Therapeutic Class:

Cardio-selective Beta-Blocker

Uses / Indications:

Bisoheart-5 Tablets are used for the management of:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Chronic stable angina

• Heart failure (as part of combination therapy)

• Control of heart rate in certain cardiac conditions

How It Works (Mechanism of Action):

• • Bisoprolol selectively blocks β1-adrenergic receptors in the heart, reducing heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure, thereby decreasing cardiac workload.

Dosage & Administration:

• Usually once daily, preferably in the morning

• Dose adjusted as per patient condition and doctor’s advice

• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew

Common Side Effects (Usually Mild):

• Fatigue

• Dizziness

• Slow heart rate

• Cold hands or feet

• Headache

Precautions:

• Do not stop abruptly

• Use cautiously in diabetes (may mask hypoglycemia symptoms)

• Caution in asthma, COPD, and heart conduction disorders

• Pregnancy & breastfeeding: use only if prescribed

Storage Instructions:

• Store below 25°C

• Protect from moisture and light

• Keep out of reach of children
