Composition of Asthalin AX JR Syrup (per 5 ml):

• Levosalbutamol Sulphate IP: Equivalent to Levosalbutamol 0.50 mg
  • Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that works by relaxing the smooth muscles around the airways, which helps to open up the airways and improve airflow. It is the R-enantiomer of Salbutamol, offering more selective action on the beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, leading to fewer side effects, particularly related to the heart.
• Ambroxol Hydrochloride IP: 15 mg
  • Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent, which helps to break down and thin the mucus in the respiratory tract, making it easier to clear from the lungs. It aids in reducing chest congestion and improving overall breathing.
• Guaifenesin IP: 50 mg
  • Guaifenesin is an expectorant, which helps loosen and thin mucus in the airways, facilitating its removal by coughing. It helps relieve chest congestion and clears the respiratory passages.
• Flavoured Syrupy Base: The syrup is prepared with a palatable flavoured base to make it easier for children to consume.
• Colour: Ponceau 4R Supra (a food-grade colorant, giving the syrup its reddish color).

Usage:
