Amifru 40 – Strip of 10 Tablets

Amifru 40 is a diuretic (water pill) used to remove excess fluid from the body, reduce swelling (edema), and help control blood pressure. It combines two medicines: Furosemide (a loop diuretic) and Amiloride (a potassium-sparing diuretic). This combination helps remove extra water without causing excessive loss of potassium.

Composition (Per Tablet):

• Furosemide I.P. 40 mg

• Amiloride Hydrochloride I.P. equivalent to Anhydrous Amiloride Hydrochloride 5 mg

Uses:

• Treats swelling (edema) due to:

  • Heart failure

  • Kidney disease

  • Liver disease

• Helps in controlling high blood pressure (when advised by doctor)

• Prevents potassium loss caused by strong diuretics

• Helps maintain proper fluid balance in the body

How It Works:

• Furosemide increases urine output by acting on the kidneys.

• Amiloride conserves potassium while still promoting removal of excess water and salt.
  Together, they balance fluid removal and potassium levels.

Dosage & How to Take:

• Use strictly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Usually taken once daily in the morning to avoid nighttime urination.

• Can be taken with food.
