KZ Lotion (50 ml) is a topical antifungal medicine used to treat fungal infections of the skin and scalp.

✅ Composition

• Ketoconazole IP 2.0% w/w – Broad-spectrum antifungal agent that kills fungus and yeast causing infection.

✅ Uses

KZ lotion is used for treatment of:

• Fungal skin infections

• Ringworm (Tinea corporis)

• Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)

• Jock itch (Tinea cruris)

• Cutaneous candidiasis (yeast infection)

• Seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff, flaky skin)

• Pityriasis versicolor (white or brown skin patches)

• Fungal infection of scalp and hairy areas

• Itchy fungal skin conditions

Doctors may also prescribe it for recurrent fungal infections.

⚙️ How It Works

Ketoconazole blocks formation of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes.
This damages the fungus, stops its growth, and clears infection.

✅ Dosage / How to Use

(As directed by physician)

General use:

1. Clean and dry the affected area.

2. Apply a small amount of lotion.

3. Spread gently on affected skin or scalp.

4. Use once or twice daily or as advised.

5. Wash hands after use.

For scalp use:

• Apply to affected area and leave for some time before washing (if advised).

• Skin infections → 2–4 weeks

• Athlete’s foot → 4–6 weeks

• Seborrheic dermatitis → 2–4 weeks

Usually mild:

• Burning sensation

• Redness

• Itching

• Dry skin

• Skin peeling
