Composition

Each 1 ml contains:

• Testosterone Enanthate … 250 mg

• Benzyl Benzoate … q.s. (as a solvent)

• Benzyl Alcohol … q.s. (as preservative)

• Sesame Oil / Cottonseed Oil … q.s. (as the oily vehicle for injection)

Description

Testosterone Enanthate is a long-acting androgen preparation used for testosterone replacement therapy. It is an esterified form of testosterone that provides a slow and sustained release after intramuscular injection. The formulation is typically presented as a clear, pale yellow oily solution in an ampoule or vial.

Mechanism of Action

• Restores and maintains physiologic testosterone levels.

• Promotes development and maintenance of male sexual characteristics.

• Helps in protein synthesis, muscle growth, and red blood cell production.

• Supports libido, mood, and overall well-being in testosterone-deficient males.

Indications (Uses)

• Male hypogonadism (primary or secondary)

• Delayed puberty in males

• Androgen replacement therapy

• Certain cases of hormone therapy in transgender men (FTM) under medical supervision

• Treatment of some breast cancers in women (rare and under strict medical advice)

Dose (General)

• Typically 250 mg every 2–4 weeks intramuscularly.

Route of Administration

• Intramuscular (IM) injection only

• Injected deep into the gluteal muscle

Side Effects

Common:

• Pain or swelling at injection site

• Acne, oily skin

• Increased hair growth

• Mood changes

Serious:

• Gynecomastia

• Water retention, edema

• Increased RBC count (polycythemia)

• Liver issues (rare)

• Worsening of prostate conditions

Storage

• Store below 25°C

• Protect from light

• Do not freeze

Safety Precautions

• Not recommended in men with prostate or breast cancer

• Use cautiously in heart, liver, or kidney disease

• Regular monitoring of testosterone level, hematocrit, and PSA is required
