Composition:

Each 5 ml of Septran Syrup typically contains:

• Trimethoprim – 40 mg
  (An antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria by interfering with their ability to produce folic acid, a vitamin essential for bacterial growth.)
• Sulfamethoxazole – 200 mg
  (An antibiotic that works in conjunction with Trimethoprim to inhibit bacterial growth. It is a sulfonamide antibiotic that targets the production of folic acid in bacteria.)

Indications:

• Septran Syrup is primarily used to treat bacterial infections, including:
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Respiratory infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia)
  • Ear infections (otitis media)
  • Diarrhea caused by certain bacteria (like Shigella)
  • Skin infections

  It is a combination antibiotic that works by attacking bacteria in two different ways, making it effective against a wide range of infections.

Dosage:
